Sarah Samuels, MA, MSc.

Sarah Samuels has been mediating family cases in New York for over 10 years. Her approach is to try to understand and address her clients needs, so they are able to effectively ‘move on’ with their lives.
Divorce is tough — difficult decisions need to be made. Sarah offers those undergoing a divorce a reasonable way through. Her goal is to provide a mechanism to deal effectively with complicated finances and family needs, while helping each person to make informed decisions. This allows for a future that contains options, hope, and possibility.
Sarah formerly worked in the NYC Family Court where she was a Mediation Manager of the Custody Visitation Mediation Program. In addition to mediating private divorce and family cases, Sarah currently serves on the NYC Family Court Custody and Visitation Panel as a Consultant Mediator. She speaks about the benefits of mediation to anyone who will listen, because she believes that communication leads to resolution.
Sarah is a graduate of McGill University (BA), University of Toronto (MA) and Creighton University School of Law where she obtained a Master’s Degree in Dispute Resolution and Negotiation. Sarah is a member of The NYS Council on Divorce Mediation, the Family and Divorce Mediation Council of Greater New York and the New York State Dispute Resolution Association of Greater New York.
Sarah lives in Long Island with her family.
